—Manages the R&D team and oversees project management of hardware and software engineering.
What You Will Love Doing
—Manage the product design. Oversee and coordinate hardware/software teams.
—Facilitate and manage team meetings and allocate resources appropriately. Ensure that budgets, schedules, and performance requirement are met.
—Report to and contribute to management meetings.
—Oversees movement of products through design and transfer to manufacturing.
—Guide the conceptualization of new products, processes, and devices.
—Aid in defining product specifications.
—Implement and communicate the strategic and technical direction of the hardware/software teams.
—Monitor engineering documentation quality throughout all phases of product development.
—Coordinate activities with outside suppliers and consultants to ensure performance and timely delivery.
—Identify issues that delay product and recommend and implement appropriate action
—Work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
—Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
—Regularly interact with senior management on matters concerning program management.
—Oversee projects in terms of costs, resources, timelines, methods, and processes.
—Facilitate communication and coordination between engineering groups.
—Facilitate communication and coordination between engineering and non-engineering groups.
—Performs other assignments as required by Management.
Minimum Degree and Required Experience
—Requires a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent.
—Must have previous experience managing relevant projects.
—Experience working with a quality-controlled design process.
—Knowledge of FDA/ISO for medical devices.
—Electronic device and software development experience.
—Proficient with project management tools (i.e., Microsoft Project).
—Must have good organizational skills.
—Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
—Must have excellent problem-solving skills.
—Must be able to handle stressful situations.
—Must have excellent people skills.
—Must be proficient in computer skills with 5 years’ experience using Microsoft Office.
—Must have excellent reading comprehension.
