Electronics Manufacturing Technician II

Salary Range: $17 – $19.50
Based in Salt Lake City, Utah

We spend every day building technology that will benefit patients suffering from paralysis disorders, neurological diseases (ALS, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s), and neural dysfunctions (epilepsy, brain trauma).

What You Will Love Doing

    —Works on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations
    —May determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may provide guidance to other nonexempt personnel
    —Must be able to work with a microscope and assemble small parts
    —Write work instructions, part specifications and other documentation
    —Implement efficiency and quality improvements
    —Cross-training manufacturing technicians
    —Performs other assignments as required by the Management

What You Will Bring

    Education Level
    —Minimum High School Diploma, Associates degree preferred
    Professional Certifications
    —IPC 610 Preferred
    —Solder certification preferred
    —GMP training preferred
    Experience Required
    —2-4 years of experience in electronics and/or medical device manufacturing or product development
    Skills and Abilities Required
    —Soldering experience (Surface mount and through-hole)
    —Electro-mechanical assembly experience
    —Must have experience using electrical test equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, safety analyzers, etc…)
    —Must have good organizational skills
    —Must be thorough and detail oriented
    —Must have excellent reading, writing and communication skills in the English language
    —Must have excellent editing skills
    —Must be able to work independently with little supervision
    —Must have excellent problem-solving skills
    —Must be able to handle stressful situations
    —Must have excellent people skills
    —Must be proficient in computer skills with 2 years of experience using Microsoft Office
    —Must have excellent reading comprehension
    Desired Qualifications
    —Knowledge of FDA/ISO for medical devices
